“Llama house had the professionalism & cleanliness of a hotel, the home-like feeling of a bed & breakfast, and the young social feel of a hostel. It is an amazing place to stay for any trip to the Gore Mountain or North Creek areas, as they are both a short 15 minute drive. The host Dave was very friendly and accommodating. Llama house has a resident dog, Wilson, who was the absolute star of the show. I would most definitely stay here again with a large or small group of people!”
“If you are planning a trip to the Adirondacks THIS is the place to stay. Rustic, yet modern with extremely impressive work completed in this house that literally blew me away. Dave and his dog, Wilson are excellent hosts. And Dave... impressive for his talents. I am originally from New York City, have been to museums, art galleries in The Village and West Broadway, and have never seen an inlaid floor that is an accurate depiction of lakes in the area constructed of various materials including actual stones from the Hudson River. Our bed was hand crafted by Dave as were the beds in the other rooms. Extremely comfortable. Hand craftsmanship throughout the house. The house is set in a magnificent wooded area which can be enjoyed from the large deck that Dave built himself. Isolated, yet near restaurants (several of which were excellent recommendations by Dave), white water rafting, hiking, skiing... and whatever else you enjoy in the Adirondack Region. My wife and I have been to quite a number of hotels, B&Bs, Vrbo properties, etc. The Llama House, by far, stands out as one of the very best places where we stayed. Great work Dave and Wilson.”
“Usually I stay at a hotel. However I am so glad we booked here instead! The Llama House is located in a quiet wooded area less than 15mins from Gore Mountain. Our host met us and immediately started a nice wood stove fire for us. The rooms are super cozy and beautiful. There are two bathrooms, one has been recently updated. Everything is nice and very clean. The house has a nice sized kitchen, dining and living room. In the basement is another room for watching movies with a projector. Our host made us feel super welcome and had great recommendations on food around the area. I highly recommend this place.”
“I was skiing at Gore, and this place is so close to both the mountain and North Creek for entertainment and food, very convenient! Dave (and Wilson the dog) were very accommodating, knowledgable, and friendly. Dave has a collection of records and after a long day of skiing we listened to a few that were an absolute vibe! The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Bathrooms were clean and of hotel quality. I will certainly be returning for my next ski vacation! :)”
